Proceedings from Sept. 27

Joshua P. Smet, 24, Gillett, made an initial appearance on repeated charges of being party to a burglary, theft and obstructing an officer. He was arrested Sept. 20 in Gillett. A $2,500 cash bond was set with his appearance to continue Oct. 10.

Proceedings from Sept. 25

Nicholas M. Lane, 28, Oconto, entered not guilty pleas to charges of attempting to flee or elude a traffic officer, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. He was arrested Aug. 18 in Oconto. He also pleaded not guilty to battery, false imprisonment and strangulation and suffocation and was arrested on these offenses Aug. 16 and 17 in Oconto. His pretrial conference is Oct. 10, and a $1,000 cash bond continues.

Ronald M. Payette, 39, Oconto, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison for being party to delivering a controlled substance in or near a park in Oconto on Dec. 13, 2012. He must pay $250 DNA surcharge and $268 court costs and attend alcohol and other drug abuse assessment. He was ordered to obtain a GED and attend any treatment recommended. Dismissed were charges of obtaining a controlled substance by way of fraud and obstructing an officer.

Eric A. Bayer, 35, Suring, pleaded not guilty to possession of a controlled substance, second violation. He was arrested April 19 in Suring. His pretrial conference is Nov. 12, and a $100 cash bond continues.

Craig A. Spice, 31, Suring, pleaded no contest to six charges of failure to pay child support between Sept. 10, 2011, and Oct. 2, 2012. His sentencing will take place Nov. 11, and a $3,000 cash bond continues. He also faces a felony bail jumping charge from April 15.

Jesse L. Brice, 33, Green Bay, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for disorderly conduct, which occurred March 9 in the town of Underhill. He must also pay $243 court costs.

Proceedings from Sept. 23

Mark H. Woods, 58, Oconto Falls, made an initial appearance on charges of strangulation and suffocation, battery and disorderly conduct. He was arrested Sept. 22 in Oconto Falls. A $2,000 cash bond was set, and his appearance will continue Oct. 10

Proceedings from Sept. 20

An arraignment will be held Oct. 10 for Zachariah M. Diedrich, 30, Oconto. He is accused of strangulation and suffocation, battery and obstructing an officer on Aug. 29 in Oconto. His $2,500 cash bond continues.

A preliminary hearing is Oct. 10 for Randall L. VanHecke Jr., 31, Oconto Falls. He entered not guilty pleas to repeated criminal damage to property and repeated disorderly conduct. He was arrested Aug. 18 in Oconto Falls. His $750 cash bond continues.

A jury trial will take place Jan. 23 for Sarah L. Liebergen, 30, Sobieski. She is accused of identity theft for financial gain and felony bail jumping. The identity theft allegedly occurred July 6, 2012, in the town of Chase and the bail jumping on May 24, 2013. Her $5,000 signature bond continues.

After plea negotiations, Keith J. Pearson, 21, Oconto, entered a guilty plea to failure to pay child support between Feb. 8 and Sept. 28, 2011. His sentencing is Nov. 25, and a $2,500 signature bond continues.

An arraignment is Oct. 10 for Terrence L. Vanhoosen, 46, Lena, who faces charges of driving while intoxicated, fifth or sixth offense, and driving with blood alcohol content greater than the legal limit, fifth of sixth offense. He was arrested July 14 in the town of Stiles. His $2,500 cash bond continues.
