Kempen scores 32 for Eagles

The Oconto Falls High School boys basketball team fell in overtime 56-54 to Suring in a nonconference game Nov. 26 in Suring.

The Panthers (0-2) rallied in the fourth quarter to a 50-50 tie with the Eagles (2-0) before giving way in the overtime period.

Suring’s Dillon Kempen exploded for 32 points in the game, getting eight from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and scoring four in overtime to seal the win.

Riley Gruetzmacher, who scored 15 points, led Oconto Falls.

Oconto Falls opens Bay Conference play with a game Friday against West De Pere.
