Nominations open for Wall of Fame

The Oconto Falls School District and Oconto Falls High School seek nominations of individuals to be included in the school’s Wall of Fame.

The Wall of Fame was established in 1995, with the inaugural person inducted in 1996.

A wall designated in the 500 hallway adjacent to the field house displays the plaques of people who have been chosen for the honor.

The nominees must be graduates of Oconto Falls High School and must have set standards of excellence in their lives and experienced success since their graduation.

The purpose of the wall is to honor graduates who have been successful in life and to serve as an inspiration for today’s students.

The nominations can come from anybody; self-nominations also are accepted. Nominations are to be submitted to Bruce Russell, high school principal, no later than March 30 to be considered for the next class of inductees, who will be recognized during homecoming weekend in September.

There is no specific application form, but the following information is requested: name, address, year of graduation and contact information of the individual being nominated; a description of why the person is being nominated, including work, community, family, committee and college accomplishments; and a description of the individual’s activities while in high school.

For information, contact Russell at bruce.russell@of-ps.org or 920-848-4467.
