Janet C. (Rathbun) Christian, 76, of Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

Janet was born on June 16, 1940, to the late Robert and Catharine (Kniep) Rathbun in Milwaukee. Janet married Jack Christian on Nov. 16, 1963, in Milwaukee. For 10 years, Janet worked as a CNA in Milwaukee, before relocating to Mountain and working at Woodland Village Nursing Home in Suring for five years. She loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, as well as traveling and spending time with family.

Janet is survived by her five children, Jerry (Hazel), John (Denise), Jean (Noel), Joe (Carrie) and James (Patti); two sisters, Kathy and Barbara; 15 grandchildren, Ashley (Aaron), Isabella, Alden, Mathew, Eric, Masin (Nakita), Jason, Jo Marie, Aaron, Joshua, Angela, Robert, Brady, Jackson and Vivian; seven great-grandchildren, Allison, Richard, Eijah, Aliana, Alexis, Quorra, Quinn. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jack; a grandson, Joshua; a granddaughter, Heather; a sister, Ann.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 5 p.m. with Sister Marla Clercx officiating.

Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
