June 29

Deputies responded to 26 incidents, including the following:

Road Closing — Oconto Falls reported the intersection of Monroe and North Adams streets will be closed until further notice, repairing a sink hole.

June 28

Deputies responded to 31 incidents, including the following:

Attempted Fraud — A caller from the Cecil area reported an attempted phone scam from a man claiming to be her grandson who needed bail money. She only gave out her name and no further information. The dispatcher advised her it was a scam.

Attempted Fraud — A caller from Gillett reported receiving multiple voicemail messages from different numbers, saying she needed to call back because of having warrants.

June 27

Deputies responded to 44 incidents, including the following:

Burglary — A caller reported that forced entry had been made to the garage at a residence along Parkway Road, Pound, sometime in the past six months. Tools and other items were taken.

Suspicious — Authorities investigated a report that an older man pulled up to him in a white car with Wisconsin plates and made sexual comments to him at a park along County Road BB, Gillett.

Accident — Officials called for a paramedic intercept from Green Bay to care for a person injured in an ATV vs. vehicle collision on Duescher Lane, Abrams.

Theft – A male stole cigars from the BP station on state Highway 32-64, Mountain.

Suspicious — Caller reported a man in a blue flannel shirt and tan pants was taking pictures or recording children while they were swimming in Finnegan Lake. He was driving an older blue pickup truck.

June 26

Deputies responded to 27 incidents, including the following:

Criminal Mischief — Officers were called to a report that a political sign was torn down along Y Camp Road, Suring. The property owner said he knows who did it.

Criminal Damage — A property owner reported someone spray-painted items in a yard at County Road P and Pulcifer Road, Cecil.

Theft — Authorities investigated the theft of a plow along Thome Road, Oconto.

Weapons Offense — Deputies were called to a report that someone in a white truck shot at kids with an airsoft gun, then took off down Leo’s Road, Suring.

Theft — A caller stated he has trail cam footage of someone stealing hunting equipment in the area of state Highway 64 and Pipeline Road around June 10.

June 25

Deputies responded to 44 incidents, including the following:

Disturbance — Officers responded to a report that eight or nine people were fighting in the middle of state Highway 32 outside the Pour House Bar & Grill, Lakewood. Caller said two groups of out-of-town people started fighting.

Theft — Authorities investigated the theft of a power cord from an address on Valley Line Road, Oconto Falls.

UTV Accident — Medical personnel were called to a UTV accident along Sunset Road near Black Bass Road, Crivitz. Three people were injured.

Power Lines Down — Utility officials responded to a report of a power line down across state Highway 32 near Kroll’s Excavating, Townsend, starting a small fire in a tree. The highway was closed for about 45 minutes.

Fire — A resident along County Road F, Lakewood, reported she got home to find a fire by her gas furnace; it was already out. A responding officer found it had been started by an electric drill.

June 24

Deputies responded to 34 incidents, including the following:

Burglary — Authorities investigated a break-in to a cabin along County Road R, Suring. Some ATVs were among the missing items.

June 23

Deputies responded to 43 incidents, including the following:

Fire — Officers responded to a report of a vehicle on fire along U.S. 41-141, Abrams, at 2:38 a.m. in front of Chrysler World. One lane of traffic was blocked for about an hour.

Burglary — A break-in occurred sometime between the morning of June 22 and mid-afternoon June 23 at a home on County Road W, Mountain. A door was damaged and some money was missing.

Agency Assist — Deputies assisted Marinette County Sheriff’s Department officers in locating stolen property in Oconto County for one of their cases.

High-Speed Chase — A driver fled when a Lena police officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Old 141 Road. The chase, sometimes at speeds in excess of 100 mph, ended when the suspect crashed at the railroad crossing on Duame Road south of state Highway 22.

Underage Drinking — A traffic stop on Baenen Road in Lena led deputies to break up a nearby party with an estimated 50 underage drinkers. They were all getting someone sober to drive them home.
