Tennis G. Kostrova, 85, Oconto Falls, was called home to the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born on Sept. 18, 1931, in Oconto County to Gust and Olga (Sampson) Kostrova. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Coleman High School. On Nov. 25, 1950, he married Alfie Braun in Oconto Falls.

Tennis lived most of his life in Oconto Falls where he was employed by the Scott Paper Co. He was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Tennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, car races and playing slots with his friends at the casino. He will also be remembered as an avid Packers, Brewers and Daytona 500 fan.

Survivors are his two sons, Les (Terri) Kostrova, De Pere, and Lonnie (friend Gail Thiry) Kostrova, Luxemburg; five grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Brown, Amy (Mark) Bradley, Dan (Niki) Kostrova, Kerri (Ryan) Haertl and Mitchell Kostrova; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester (Sharon) Kostrova, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, June Braun, Oconto Falls, and Ada Kostrova, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alfie, in 1997; and one brother, Roger Kostrova.

Private family services were held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oconto Falls.

Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the family.
