Gary E. Schuelke, 63, Neenah, was sentenced to five years in state prison followed by five years of extended supervision for his eighth conviction of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was also assessed fines and other court costs and fees totaling $3,867 and ordered to submit a DNA sample. Judge Michael T. Judge ordered him to complete an alcohol assessment and follow through on any treatment recommendations. Schuelke must maintain absolute sobriety during the course of his prison term and extended supervision. He was arrested Nov. 12 and pleaded no contest June 15. A related charge of operating with a prohibited alcohol content was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion as part of a plea agreement.

Julie A. Sargent, 30, Wausaukee, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of THC and was sentenced to 45 days in the county jail. She was assessed $545 in fines and other costs, and a related charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. She originally faced two charges of possession of THC (second and subsequent offense), which are felonies.
