Ron Popp, grand marshal, and his wife, Mary Ann, lead the Corn Roast Parade in a UTV. Ron has been a Red Arrow club member for almost 25 years.

The Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and and Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant have declared the 11th annual ATV/UTV Parade and Corn Roast, held Saturday of Labor Day weekend in Townsend, a success.

Despite the rain about 50 ATVs and UTVs lined up at the Red Arrow clubhouse to parade south. Grand marshal Ron Popp, former Red Arrow Club board member and club member since 1993, led the way to the Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant and along the Nicolet State Trail.

The crowd pent the late afternoon and evening under a huge tent enjoying meat raffles, disc jockey music and food, including free sweet corn.

Raffle prize winners included the following: Keith VanAlstyne, first place, $500 gas card donated by Townsend Shall; Scott Anderson, second place, Henry .22 caliber level action rifle donated by Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant, a $360 value; third place, Amy Wall, Snap-On 1/2DR 33-piece general service set donated by Eva and Paul Kirsch, a $275 value; fourth place, Sandie Peters, ATV helmet, goggles and gloves donated by Antigo Yamaha, a $270 value; fifth place, Mike Wall, Polaris Demon snowmobile helmet and $25 gift card donated by Team Motorsports, a $225 value; sixth place, Doreen Mellberg, Snap-on Tools thermometer, fleece jacket and pint glass set donated by J&L Tools, $220 value; seventh place, Jeannie Nickel, 17-foot ladder tree stand donated by Yaeger Oil, Laona Machine and Supply, $170 value; eighth place, Ray Greene, ATV helmet donated by TA Motorsports; ninth place: Nancy Reinhard, two-night stay donated by Trail’s Motel, Townsend; 10th place: Michael Rzepka, one-night stay donated by Waubee Lake Lodge, Lakewood.

There were 37 prizes in all.

Club President Gary Wagner thanked all those who attended as well as club members and friends who worked hard to make the event a success. The club also thanked Josh and Cassie Banie, owners of the Old Town Hall Bar & Restaurant, for their support of the event and their yearlong support of the club.
