Greetings, Morgan! Thank you for taking an interest in your town’s news. If you have news to share, please let me know at megan.stranz@gmail.com.

Those Morgan residents who live in County Board Supervisory District 21 have a new county board supervisor. District 21 encompasses a portion of the town of Oconto Falls, as well as that part of Morgan situated north of County Road E and east of County Road C.

Mary Lemmen, longtime county board member and active community member, sadly passed away in October. Tim O’Harrow of the town of Oconto Falls was recently appointed to serve on the county board for the remainder of Lemmen’s term.

The Morgan Town Board had also recommended Morgan town supervisor Leonard Wahl for this position and thanks Leonard for his willingness to offer to serve in this capacity. The population of the area of each town in District 21 was the deciding factor in this appointment.

The construction of the new town hall is complete, with final details and interior furniture currently being put into place. Soon all of those packed boxes from the old town hall will be moved from storage at the Recycle Center into the new facility.

If you have driven by the new town hall lately, you would surely notice how impressive it looks, especially at night when all of the exterior lights keep the building and parking area welcoming. Stay tuned for announcements on the upcoming open house date.

Neighborly note: Morgan has a new young resident. Alexander VandenElzen was born in July to proud parents Ashley and Cory VandenElzen. Alex was also welcomed home by excited big sister, Laken.
