Gillett School District looks for community input

Filled surveys requested by April 25

The Gillett School District is sending a community survey to all residents and parents to gather input regarding future planning. The School Board Planning Committee, made up of community members, parents, staff and school board members, worked with the private company School Perceptions LLC to accomplish this. School Perceptions is an independent educational research firm that will conduct the survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential.

During the first week in April, that survey should have arrived in the mailboxes of everyone who lives in the Gillett School District. In addition to paper copies, parents and staff received surveys in an email. If residents and parents did not get the survey, they are encouraged to contact Lynda Zeitler in the district office at 920-855-2137 to get a copy.

The survey will only take a few minutes to fill out, but it will give the school board valuable insight into how the community would like to see the district move forward. Each survey comes with a one-use code that can be used online or on paper and mailed back to School Perceptions in the postage-paid envelope provided. If there is more than one adult in a home who would like to take the survey, Zeitler can help with that as well.

The survey will be open through 5 p.m. April 25. School Perceptions will compile the data and present it to the board at its regular May 17 meeting. The results will be used to help guide future decisions.
