Proceedings of May 4

An Aug. 21-23 jury trial was set for Arnold R. Warrichalet, 55, Oconto, who is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, substantial battery, and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 15. A final pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 20.

Christine I. Chilcott, 48, Crivitz, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and with a prohibited alcohol content (fourth offense), as well as misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 29. Arraignment was scheduled for May 17.

Jeremy J. Hanna, 39, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to four counts of manufacture or delivery of amphetamines and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with separate incidents in December and January. In a separate case, Hanna faces charges of fleeing an officer and misdemeanor bail jumping in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 12. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for June 4.

Cathy J. Maki, 47, Fond du Lac, pleaded not guilty charges of possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 6. A pre-trial conference and possible plea hearing was scheduled for May 23.

Proceedings of May 3

An Aug. 23 jury trial was scheduled for Christopher D. Wagenknecht, 36, Suring, on a felony charge of strangulation-suffocation, along with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct charges, in connection with an incident that allegedly took place Oct. 13. A final pre-trial conference was set for Aug. 22.

Proceedings of April 30

Bernard A. Poradek, 31, Mountain, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of homicide by negligent use of a motor vehicle in connection with a crash that occurred Sept. 29. Arraignment was scheduled for May 15.

Nicholas G. Patron, 36, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to charges of felony and misdemeanor bail jumping and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after an incident that allegedly occurred March 13. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 17.

Michael G. Knudson, 34, Oshkosh, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense). A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 14.

Blake A. Gromoske, 18, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of second-degree reckless endangerment, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 15. A plea and sentencing hearing was scheduled for June 18.

Joseph R. Stutzman, 20, Lena, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of burglary and misdemeanor theft in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 11. He then stood mute and not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 17.

Proceedings of April 27

Renee L. Reinboldt, 39, Potter, pleaded guilty to a charge of felony bail jumping. The charge was filed after she failed to appear for an Oct. 2 sentencing after pleading no contest Aug. 15 to possession of narcotic drugs and possession with intent to deliver drugs, dating to her arrest on New Year’s Day 2017. She was arrested in March on unrelated charges in Calumet County and transferred back to Oconto County. At this hearing, Judge Michael T. Judge dismissed the possession charge on the prosecutor’s motion and scheduled sentencing for June 7 on the possession with intent to deliver and bail jumping charges.

Matthew D. Lenzner, 25, Appleton, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on a charge of possession of methamphetamine (repeat offender) in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 22. Arraignment was scheduled for May 17.

Proceedings of April 26

Keith E. Guerrero, 32, Oconto, pleaded no contest to a charge of felony stalking, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 18. In a deferred sentencing agreement, Judge Michael T. Judge accepted the plea but withheld judgment or sentencing for one year, placing Guerrero in the Volunteers in Probation program. A misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer was dismissed as part of the agreement. Conditions include no contact unless through third party or per other court orders.

Proceedings of April 24

Bond was set at $10,000 cash for Preston W. Theoharopoulos, 18, Pulaski, who faces three counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 17. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 7.

Proceedings of April 23

A jury trial for Matthew M. Walgurski, 22, Pulaski, was rescheduled to Sept. 5. He faces felony charges of second-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment, as well as a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 30, 2017. Three days were set aside for the trial. A motion hearing was scheduled for July 19.

An April 24 jury trial was rescheduled for May 31 for Rock H. Gerow, 60, Mountain, who is charged with possession of narcotic drugs, manufacturing amphetamine with the intent to deliver and three counts of bail jumping. The amphetamine charge and two bail-jumping counts are in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 14, 2016, and were filed in October on the day before he was to stand trial for possession of materials to manufacture methamphetamine and two counts of possession of narcotic drugs, in connection with an incident that occurred July 24, 2016. The latest narcotics and bail-jumping charges were filed after a search warrant was executed at Gerow’s home Oct. 18.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Kory M. Schaal, 25, Suring, who is charged with false imprisonment and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in connection with a domestic incident that allegedly occurred April 22. The balance of his initial appearance was scheduled for May 17.

Proceedings of April 19

Bond was set at $25,000 cash for John Osmon, 35, Oconto, who is charged with first-degree child sex assault, second-degree sexual assault of a child and repeated sexual assault of the same child in connection with incidents occurring in 2011 and 2017. The balance of his initial appearance was scheduled for May 17. Additional charges were filed May 2 of maintaining a drug trafficking place (second or subsequent offense), possession of THC with intent to deliver (second or subsequent offense), possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an alleged April 18 incident.

John J. Mellinger, 39, Sobieski, pleaded not guilty to charges of strangulation-suffocation and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 28. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 17.
