Charles F. Schultz III, 57, of Lakewood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018. Charles was born on Jan. 31, 1961, to the late Charles Sr. and Virginia (Beronek) Schultz. He graduated from Wabeno High School. Charles was very active in his community. He often worked at the food pantry at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend. Charles worked at Mountain Painting as Tinker’s right hand man. He also worked at the School House Bar, helping them clean and set up for events. Charles was an avid fisherman and greatly enjoyed shooting pool, playing darts, telling jokes, making people smile and having a good time. He was an all-around handy man and was willing to help anyone. Charles loved all animals and adored his dog, Maggie.

Charles is survived by his girlfriend, Deana (Dee); daughter, Amber Schultz (fiancé Eric Reinhart); three grandchildren, Kelsey, Karson, and Kali; five siblings, Elizabeth (Ed) Giese, Pamela (Ryan) DeKeyser, Christopher (Theresa) Schultz, Katherine Neff, and Ann Sodowsky; and beloved dog, Maggie. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene Schultz and Charles Schultz Jr.; two sisters, Elona Schultz and Charlene Nelson.

A celebration of life will be held for Charles on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Scott Whycherley officiating. Charles will be interred beside his mother in Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
