Steve Hines

Steve Hines, 66, Oconto Falls, died Saturday evening, Aug. 25, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born July 4, 1952, in Garden City, Michigan, to Hilton and Carolyne (Willoughby) Hines. Steve grew up in Plymouth, Michigan, where he graduated high school.
On May 11, 1974, he married Pamela Jahnke in Wausaukee. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Wausaukee, where Steve worked for the telephone company. In 1999, the couple moved to Oconto Falls where Steve was employed for what was now Centurytel and retired after 28 years of service. Steve will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, helpfulness and hard work ethic.
Survivors are his wife, Pam Hines, Oconto Falls; their two sons, Nicholas (Angela) Hines, Rhode Island; Christopher (Michele) Hines, Oconto Falls; four grandchildren who he dearly loved, Kayle and Kaden; Mila and Esme; his father, Hilton Hines, Washington; two sisters, Linda Stone and Becky (Don) Hill, both of Washington; his mother-in-law, Beverley Jahnke, Wausaukee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan Jahnke, Marquette, Michigan; David Jahnke, Neenah; Donald (Jennifer) Jahnke, Minnesota; Doug (Christen) Jahnke, Rhode Island; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyne Hines and father-in-law Robert Jahnke.
Visitation will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Oconto Falls after 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, until the time of service. Memorial services will be held 5 p.m. Friday.
