Ruth Germaine “Gerry” Grosse, 82, Little Suamico, died peacefully Friday morning, Sept. 21, 2018, at a Green Bay hospital. The daughter of the late Giles and Margaret (Blaser) Grosse was born Nov. 25, 1935, in Little Suamico. Gerry was a faith-filled Catholic and lifelong member of St. Pius Parish in Little Suamico. She had been employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay for many years.

Gerry enjoyed painting watercolors, knitting and telling stories. She especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Aunt Gerry spent her life selflessly giving to others with kindness and grace. In the last years of her mother’s life, she patiently cared for her. After the early death of her sister Susie, she stepped in as a mother figure to Susie’s 10 children. She freely gave of her time and resources to all her siblings, nieces and nephews. She touched many lives, and all her family and friends were blessed for knowing her. As her late niece, Cathy, wrote in a letter, “You always make me feel at home when I am with you.”

Survivors include one brother, Daniel (Nora) Grosse, Franksville; two sisters, Peggy Powell, Little Suamico, and Becky Van Erem, Oconto; 19 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Grosse; one sister, Suzanne (George) Arndt; and a niece, Catherine Arndt.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
