Q: When did your interest in cross-country begin?

A: It began when I started to run with my parents when I was little.

Q: What’s your favorite part about a cross-country meet?

A: My favorite part in a cross-country meet is right before the finish line, when I give it my all knowing that I’m almost done.

Q: What are your goals for this season (individual or team) and how do you plan to reach them?

A: My individual goals are to PR (personal record) at sectionals and make it to state. I plan to reach them by trying my best every day in practice. Practicing hard will pay off in the meets.

Q: What aspects of cross-country do you and the team need to continue working on to turn in more top finishes as the season winds down?

A: As a team, we need to work on sticking together and running as a pack. Then we will be able to motivate each other in the meets.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of competing on the Oconto Falls cross-country team?

A: My favorite memory is finishing with my team at sectionals in Waupaca last year.

Q: Do you have any rituals you go through before a cross-country meet?

A: I don’t think so. I just try to remember to drink a lot of water and stay positive before the meets.

Q: Do you look up to any particular athletes? If so, why them?

A: I look up to all of my teammates. They all push me to try harder and make cross-country a lot of fun.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you are not in school or competing in a high school sport?

A: My favorite thing to do is hanging out with my friends.

Q: Favorite TV show, movie, musical artist?

A: I don’t have any favorites, but right now I like the shows “Friends” and “The Office.”

Q: Name one thing about yourself that not many people know.

A: Not a lot of people know that I like to sing. I’m involved a lot in the choir and band at my school.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote, verse or lyrics from a song?

A: Run fast or be last.
