Marie G. Reichwald, 91, of Dousman, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018. Marie was born on Aug. 16, 1927, to the late Arthur and Flora (Ranslam) Sack in Gillett. She graduated from Gillett High School before settling in Milwaukee. Marie married Herbert Reichwald on July 26, 1947, in Milwaukee. Over the years, Marie was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as a bookkeeper and accountant at various firms. Marie and Herbert lived in the Shawano and Cecil areas for 14 years. They were longtime members of St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett.

Marie loved to travel and was licensed as a private pilot. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family, especially celebrating special events. Marie acted as the family record keeper, keeping track of important milestones. She had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by all around her. Marie was an active volunteer at various churches and local charities. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Marie was an enthusiastic Packers fan and enjoyed cheering on the team.

Marie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Herbert; son, William (Joan) Reichwald; daughter, Linda (Craig) DeClark; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and sisters; a son, James.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kent Wallace officiating. Marie will be interred in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
