School: Oconto Falls High School

Year: Senior

Down the stretch run of the season, each volleyball match seems to get more important. With the added pressure, some teams can succumb to the moment if they do not have enough experience on the roster. The Oconto Falls volleyball team had plenty of seniors to lean on over the past few weeks of the season, and Kaitlyn St. Louis is one of the seniors who is leading the way.

St. Louis has served as one of the Panthers’ top hitters this season, totaling 141 attack kills heading into postseason play. She also is third on the team with 36 serving aces while also contributing 119 digs.

Q: What’s your favorite part about a volleyball match or the volleyball season?

A: The best part about a volleyball match would have to be the adrenaline rush of getting up and spiking the ball.

Q: When you have to hang up the volleyball uniform, what are you going to miss most about the game?

A: I’m going to miss the excitement of the game along with the same people I have played with since sixth grade.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of competing on the Oconto Falls volleyball team?

A: Favorite memory of Oconto Falls volleyball is freshman year when our team went undefeated.

Q: Do you have any rituals you go through before matches?

A: Before each match, we do two personal goals and from there we go into our team cheer. This helps the team get pumped up and ready to play.

A: I look up to Donald Driver because he was a great athlete, always had a smile no matter what, and he was a great team player.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you are not in school or competing in a high school sport?

A: I love helping out at my aunt and uncle’s farm, chilling with friends and family and going shopping.
