Beth A. Birr, 52, of Pound, passed away peacefully Nov. 21, 2018, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Ron and Charlotte (Dryja) Salnik on Oct. 5, 1966. She married Gary Birr on Aug. 18, 1983. The couple owned and operated Birr’s Concrete and Masonry until they were forced to retire due to health. They also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening together, as well as their involvement with their children’s sporting events, especially wrestling. Gary preceded Beth in death Oct. 25, 2017, after 34 loving years of marriage.

Beth is survived by four sons, Chad (Karleen), Chris, Chase (Samantha) and Chett (Danielle); six grandchildren, Dakota, Tailor, Alexus, Skylynn, Cayden and Remington; one brother, Ken Salnik; and a nephew, Billy. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her grandparents, Irene and Henry Dryja and Frank and Pearl Salnik.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman, on Sunday, Dec. 2, from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Green Bay Oncology, especially Dr. Volk, and the staff of Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.
