Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club has received the first-ever Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs “Club of the Year” Award for 2018.

The award was presented to club representatives at the AWSC Workshops at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells the weekend of Oct. 26-28. Attending to receive the award were Gary Wagner, club president; Sandy Wagner, Gary’s wife and club membership secretary; Mike Ott, club vice president, and his wife, Lisa; board member Dennis Pommering and his wife, Julie; and past president John Brantmeier with his wife, Linda.

Jeff Schwaller, the AWSC director from Marinette County and chairperson of the selection committee, presented club members with the award.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Red Arrow is now a year-round club of almost 500 families, individuals and Business Booster members serving both the snowmobile and ATV/UTV riding communities in the Townsend area.

The club is responsible for about 65 miles of snowmobile trails and about 15 miles of ATV/UTV trails including the Nicolet State Recreational Trail through Townsend. In addition, the Town of Townsend has nearly 90 miles of mostly gravel town roads available for ATV/UTV use.
