The Oconto Falls School Board plans to meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the conference room at the District Office, 200 N. Farm Road. The board’s Curriculum Committee has scheduled a meeting at 5 p.m.

Agenda items include a closed session to discuss the status of an offer to purchase real estate and to discuss an employee’s request for a leave of absence. Other highlights:

• Under old business, the board will discuss the proposed Memo of Understanding regarding a veterans monument, which the board has determined must be agreed to before the project may move forward. The board may take action with regard to specific requirements for inclusion in the Memo of Understanding. The board will also consider approving the second reading of recommended changes to two district policies, with possible action.

• Under new business, the board will approve the open enrollment space availability for the 2019-20 school year, with possible action. Board members will review current language in the board scholarship and discuss possible language change, with possible action. And the board will consider accepting a donation from Panther Pride to fund the batting cage project, with possible action.

The board will also consider approving the 2019-2020 high school course description book revisions, with possible action.

Suring School Board

The Suring Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Conference Room 300 at the school, 411 E. Algoma St., Suring.

The agenda includes a closed session to discuss “confidential student and personnel matters.” Other highlights:

• Discussion items include Wisconsin Association of School Board convention resolutions, open enrollment period information, school district fundraising procedures, the use of the school forest for hunting and the first reading and review of various policy changes.

• Matters requiring board action include cross-country as a school-sponsored sport, the school calendar for 2019-20, limits on district open enrollment, and the review and approval of the seventh-grade girls basketball coach for 2018-19, a middle school contract, teacher resignation and the junior high head track coach position.
