The Suring Area Historical Society will be hosting a Paul Bunyan-style breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 10 at St. John Lutheran Church, 8905 St. Johns Road, Hayes.

The St. John Youth Group will be serving the breakfast of pancakes with local maple syrup, scrambled eggs with all the fixings, hash browns, fruit, doughnut holes, coffee and milk. Tickets are being sold in advance at $10 for ages 12 and up and $6 for ages 6-11; ages 5 and under are free.

Tickets are available for purchase at Lotters BP Suring, Suring Dollar Value and Huntington Bank. Historical society members will be selling tickets, also. Breakfast tickets should be purchased by Feb. 3 so the youth can get the food ordered. Tickets sold at the door will be $12 for 12 and up and $7 for 6-11.

The proceeds from the breakfast will be shared by the historical society and the St. John Youth. The Suring Area Historical Society will use their portion of the proceeds for the rebuilding of the stage at the Museum/Opera House. The youth are working to get funds for a youth convention that will be held this summer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

The event will feature Anna Holl’s General Store.
