GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gillett 70, Coleman 48

The Tigers overpowered the Cougars to snag a Marinette & Oconto Conference win Saturday.

Aubrey DeBauch scored 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had seven steals to lead Gillett, which led 32-17 at halftime. Sydney Young added 20 points and three steals, while Karissa Schaal had 12 points, seven boards and six steals.

Brianna DeBauch compiled six points, six rebounds and seven assists for the Tigers.

Wausaukee 54, Suring 29

The Eagles had a hard time keeping pace with the Rangers in a M&O battle Saturday.

Paige Krueger was the only Suring player to score over four points, tallying 19.

The Eagles scored just 10 first half points.

Marinette 65, Oconto Falls 62

The Panthers dropped a tight North Eastern Conference clash to the Marines on Friday.

Kari Albrecht scored 21 points to pace Oconto Falls in the loss. Sammy Shallow added 11 points, while Morgan Helmle tallied 10.

McKayla Goebel contributed eight points for Oconto Falls.

Gresham 59, Lena 58

In a battle between two Wildcats teams, Lena suffered a heartbreaking nonconference loss to Gresham on Friday.

Madysen Herald led Lena with 21 points, while Meckenna Portier had 17 points, 22 rebounds and four steals.

Kennedy Marquardt scored 12 points for the Wildcats. Alayna Peterson finished the game with six steals and three assists.

Little Chute 67, Oconto Falls 51

The Panthers were outscored by 12 in the second half of a NEC setback to the Mustangs on Feb. 5.

Natalie Brauer scored 14 points for Oconto Falls, which trailed 29-25 at halftime.

Kari Albrecht tallied 10 points for the Panthers, while Morgan Helmle and Sammy Shallow each added nine points.

Southern Door 44, Gillett 38

The Tigers came up on the short end of a nonconference loss to the Eagles on Feb. 5.

Karissa Schaal recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds and five steals for Gillett, which led by a point at halftime. Aubrey DeBauch contributed 10 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and five blocks.

Sydney Young scored six points for the Tigers. Grace Wickman pulled down six boards and blocked three shots.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Little Chute 61, Oconto Falls 52

The Panthers could not overcome a 13-point halftime deficit in a NEC clash with the Mustangs on Saturday.

Dakota Carriveau posted 12 points for Oconto Falls, while Mitchell Manns and Jo Schoen each scored nine points.

Connor Peetz and Jarod Parsons each contributed seven points.

Suring 70, Gillett 53

The Eagles eased past the Tigers in M&O play Friday.

Mitchell Stegeman led the charge for Suring, scoring 21 points and hitting three of the team six 3-pointers. Caleb Lally contributed 18 points, while Dequez Sepulveda scored 10.

Cole Long scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for Gillett. Logan Block totaled 14 points and five boards, while Logan Krause had 12 points.

Marinette 78, Oconto Falls 64

The Panthers could not keep pace with the Marines in a NEC matchup Friday.

Jo Schoen scored 19 points to lead Oconto Falls, which was outscored 50-30 in the opening half. Dakota Carriveau and Zach Parsons each tallied 11 points.

Connor Peetz tallied nine points, while Mitchell Manns scored eight. Manns also dished out three assists. Carriveau had three steals.

Oneida Nation 66, Lena 47

The Wildcats dropped a M&O matchup to the Thunderhawks on Friday.

Colby Borchert had a monster game for Lena despite the loss, scoring 28 points. Logan Shallow added eight points.

Suring 71, Wausaukee 52

The Eagles outscored the Rangers by 14 in the second half to pull away and earn a M&O victory Feb 5.

Caleb Lally paced Suring with 24 points, while also grabbing 10 rebounds. Mitchell Stegeman contributed 20 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.

Dequez Sepulveda provided 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Eagles. Jayden Geniesse chipped in nine points.

Coleman 66, Gillett 40

The Tigers came up short in a M&O loss to the Cougars on Feb. 5.

Bo Krueger scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Gillett in the losing effort. Cole Long recorded 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Anthony Carroll pulled down 10 rebounds, while Logan Krause had six boards, five assists and six steals.
