Walleyes for Tomorrow to hold banquet

Sportsmen and women are invited to an event dedicated to raising money for youth fishing, fishing education and walleye habitat improvement on the Oconto River.

The Green Bay Walleyes for Tomorrow annual fundraising banquet begins at 5 p.m. March 8 at the Stadium View, 1963 Holmgren Way, Green Bay. Tickets are available online at GreenbayWalleyesForTomorrow.com. A Friday night fish fry buffet will begin at 6 p.m., featuring baked and deep-fried cod, chicken and all the fixings.

Door prizes will be awarded, and guests have an opportunity to win raffle prizes including guns, fishing rods and wildlife prints, while supporting a campaign to improve walleye fishing in the area.

Dinner tickets are $25 per person. Corporate tables are $250, which includes eight tickets, a free wildlife print and entry into a gun raffle open only to corporate tables.

Walleyes for Tomorrow is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises money in Northeast Wisconsin to improve walleye habitat and educate people about walleye fishing. In 2018, the chapter supplied 50 fishing rods and tackle to three youth organizations and committed $8,000 to walleye habitat improvement on the Oconto River serving the bay of Green Bay.
