Q: When did your interest in softball begin?

A: As soon as I was able to, I would play catch and hit off a tee with my dad (Dan) in our front yard. Then, when I was about four, I started T-ball and have loved the sport ever since.

Q: What’s your favorite part about a softball game or season?

A: My favorite part of the season is in about May when the weather is really nice for outside practice and everyone is starting to get excited for the playoffs.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of competing on the Oconto Falls softball team?

A: One time when I was a freshman, we were beating a team by a lot so we all switched positions and I got to be the catcher for two innings!

Q: What serves as your motivation while competing?

A: I just want to do the best I can as an individual in order to help my team win and make my parents proud.

Q: Talk a bit about the work you did in the offseason to get ready for the season?

A: I went to Velocity Softball for hitting lessons on the weekends so that I could improve my swing for the start of the season, as well as attending open gyms.

Q: What kind of things are you going to be focusing on early in the season?

A: I’m going to concentrate on hitting solid line drives at the plate and tracking balls down in the outfield.

Q: Do you have any individual goals you hope to accomplish this year?

A: I mainly want to get my batting average up and reduce my number of strikeouts from last year.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you are not in school or competing in a high school sport?

A: I love going to movies, hanging out with my friends, and traveling to new places.

Q: Favorite TV show, movie and musical artist?

A: TV show: “Criminal Minds.” Movie: “Wonder Woman.” Musical artist: I have many, but I really like Khalid, Post Malone and Ariana Grande.

Q: Name one thing about yourself that not many people know.

A: I was in gymnastics for almost five years when I was younger.
