The Oconto Falls High School Drama Club is finalizing preparations for its spring production of “Arsenic and Old Lace” later this month.

This classic dark comedy has been a smash hit in New York and on the road. The story tells of the charming and innocent Brewster sisters, Abby and Martha, who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously “acceptable” roomers; along with the antics of their nephews, Mortimer, a manic theater critic; Jonathan, who is on the run from the law; and Teddy, who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt.

The production is once again under the direction of faculty member Gayle Gander, assisted by senior student director Addy Hatch. Club members making up the cast include Mackenzie Staidl, Paige Stapleton, Keith Van Dornick, Connor Romandine, Aidan Spillane, Andrea Waschbisch, Khloe Van Dornick, Gabby Wellnitz, Allison Grzelak, Katelyn Staidl, Lydia Murphy-Hendricks, Carli Fischer and Alex Waschbisch.

Performances for Arsenic and Old Lace will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, and Monday, April 29, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 28. All performances will be in the Falls Area Performing Arts Center at Oconto Falls High School, 210 N. Farm Riad. Tickets will be sold at the door for the admission prices of $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, and $5 for students. For information, call 920-848-4467.
