Gillett senior takes first in 800 at recent invite

Athlete: Adam Anderson

Sport: Track and field

School: Gillett High School

Year: Senior

Despite its low roster numbers, the Gillett High School track and field teams are continually able to tally points and place well at meets and invites with much larger teams competing. Senior Adam Anderson is part of the boys team success.

Anderson placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 13.34 seconds at the Suring Invite on April 23 and helped the Tigers place sixth. Anderson hopes to continue to find success in the event and eventually end the year at the state meet in the 800.
