The Oconto Falls High School track and field teams had several individuals and a relay team all qualify for sectionals after strong showings at regionals.

Kari Albrecht took second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.05 seconds) at the Division 2 Freedom Sectional on Thursday to qualify for state. She finished third in the 100 hurdles (16.49) finals after taking fifth in the prelims at the Oconto Falls Regional on May 20.

Dakota Carriveau finished sixth in the shot put (49 feet, 6 inches) at sectionals after winning the regional title with a throw of 48-10.5. Colton Rohr was seventh at sectionals in the discus (142-0) after taking fourth at regionals.

Brianna Delzer finished 16th at sectionals in the shot put (30-4) after taking second at the regional.

Autumn Canavera competed in three events at sectionals, placing seventh in the 400 (1:04.26) and 800 (2:29.03) and 13th in the triple jump (31-3.75). She was third in the triple jump and fourth in the 400 and 800 at regionals.

Brent Wolf just missed placing in the 300 hurdles at sectionals, taking ninth in 41.83. He took home the fourth-fastest time in the event at the regional.

Katie Kurth came in 13th at sectionals in the 100 (13.81) after placing fourth at the regional.

The Oconto Falls girls 4x100 relay team of Alexis Euclide, Kurth, Morgan Van Haren and Autumn Magnin placed eighth at the sectional with a time of 52.59. The team was third at the regional.

Aaron Gonnering came in 15th in the 200 (24.36) at sectionals after finishing fourth at the regional. Emily Gonnering was 14th in the discus (95-11) and fourth at the regional in the event.

Gillett

Aubrey DeBauch took first in the 300 hurdles at the Division 3 Marathon Sectional and Oconto Regional on her way to qualifying for state. She posted a time of 47.48 at the sectional.

DeBauch came in 10th in the 100 hurdle prelims at sectionals after taking second in the event at the regional.

Bo Krueger had a throw of 139-5 to place second in the discus at sectionals that qualified him for state. He took first in the event at the regional.

Sylvia Hansen placed second in the 1,600 (5:18.35) and fourth in the 3,200 (11:49.96) at sectionals to qualify for state. She was first in both events at the regional meet.

Derek Hanson qualified for state in the 1,600 after taking third in the event with a time of 4:35.25 at sectionals — he was second in the event at regionals. Hanson also came in seventh in the 3,200 (10:26.62) at sectionals after a third-place finish at the regional.

Karissa Schaal came in seventh in the shot put (35-0) and discus (102-4) at sectionals after placing fourth in both events at the regional.

Adam Anderson placed eighth in the 800 (2:09.29) at sectionals after winning the regional title. Angela Mosconi was 10th in the 800 (2:39.49) at sectionals a fourth-place regional finish.

The boys 4x400 team of Brandon Rodgers, Andy Lemmens, Connor Hanson and Riley Engebretsen took 10th at sectionals with a time of 3:49.54, The group took second at the regional.

Suring

Mitchell Stegeman earned spots at state in the pole vault, 300 hurdles and high jump. He won the pole vault (14-6), took third in the 300 hurdles (41.51) and was fifth in the high jump (6-0) at the Marathon Sectional.

Stegeman came in 12th in the 200 (23.93) at sectionals after taking third at regionals. Stegeman was first in the high jump, 300 hurdles and pole vault at regionals.

Logan Stuart finished eighth in the shot put (44-10) and 13th in the discus (117-2) at sectionals after second-place regional finishes.

Linzy Runge placed 15th in the 100 hurdles (18.78) after taking fourth in the event at regionals. Gavin Fredenburgh was 16th in the 110 hurdle prelims after a fourth-place regional finish.

The girls 4x800 relay team of Kate Mahoney, Maddy Vandevelde, Macyn Garrigan and Ryann Wagner took 14th at sectionals with a time of 13:22.76. The group was fourth at regionals.

Wagner also competed in the 1,600 and 3,200 at sectionals — she placed sixth in the 1,600 (5:33.58) and ninth in 3,200 (12:12.89). She was second in both events at the regional.

Grace Fisher placed 11th in the pole vault (7-6) at sectionals after taking third in the event at regionals. Vandevelde took 13th in the triple jump (30-4.75) and was fourth in the event at the regional.

Jeffrey Miller came in 11th in the shot put (41-4) at sectionals — he was third at the regional. Jeremy Hensel ended up 15th in the 800 (2:25.31) at sectionals after a fourth-place regional finish.

Lena/STAA

Kennedy Marquardt qualified for sectionals in four events. She placed seventh in the 100 (13.45), eighth in the 200 (28.5) and 13th in the long jump (14-10) at the Marathon Sectional — she was disqualified from the 400.

Marquardt won the 400, was second in the 100 and 200 and third in the long jump at the Oconto Regional.

Trenton Telford came in sixth in the triple jump (42-7.25) at sectionals after winning the regional title.

The girls 4x200 relay team of Ruth Alberts, Alexis Misco, Mikayla Mahas and Desirae Hurning took 14th at sectionals in 1:59.91 — the team was third at the regional. Alberts, Mahas and Hurning also joined Abbie Ermis on the 4x100 relay that took 15th at sectionals in 56.84. The quarter took third at the regional.

The boys 4x200 team of Telford, Alex Decoursin, Aaron Aguilar and Hayden Knox came in 13th in 1:44.4 — the group was fourth at the regional. Decoursin, Aaron Aguilar, Norman Aguilar and Telford were 12th in the 4x100 relay (48.29) at sectionals after a fourth-place regional finish.

The boys 4x800 relay of Max Beyer, Cody Dellise, Simon Gard and Norman Aguilar finished 13th in 9:53.74 at the sectional. The quartet was the top finisher at the regional.
