Still time to become a sponsor of the fifth annual race

The Business Association of Suring Area is still accepting business/organization sponsorships through July 15 to help support the fifth annual Conquer Suring Hill 5K/10K race on Saturday, Aug. 31.

BASA is hosting the event as part of Suring’s 89th annual Suring Labor Day Celebration. The event is open to all ages, is professionally timed and medals are awarded in multiple age brackets. Both the 5K and 10K race include scenic routes and running up the famous “Suring Hill.”

Register by Aug. 1 to guarantee a free shirt and event bag. Extras will be limited. Price is $25 per person if registered by Aug. 1 and increases by $5 up through race day registration. Discounts are available for kids, seniors, military and groups of four. Sponsorships of $50 to $500 sponsorships are being. A silver ($100 or more) sponsorship includes at least one free race entry, logo on 400-plus participant and volunteer shirts, event banner, media mentions, opportunity to supply promotional items for bags and more.

Proceeds from the race support community initiatives all year long. This has included community signage, benches and plants, donations to support other local organizations, the BASA Kids’ Halloween Party, donation to the Veterans Memorial Park food stand, Riverside Park ice rink, donation to Community Wellness Night, Suring Cross Country and Youth Running Group and more.
