A Green Bay man drowned in Anderson Lake in the town of Breed on Saturday evening.

Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban said the Emergency Dispatch Center received a report at 6:26 p.m. about a man who had fallen off a raft into the water and did not resurface.

A search team of sheriff’s deputies, wardens, divers and first responders deployed to search the area. and the body of Nathaniel J. Prenot, 37, was recovered at about 8:17 p.m., Skarban said.

Agencies that assisted included the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Brazeau Dive Team, Shawano County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team, Suring Fire Department, Mountain Fire Department, Gillett Area Ambulance, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.
